Amend by adding section 12, which shall read as
follows, viz:

Section 12. And be it enacted, That this Act snail
take effect from the date of its passage.

Amend by striking out the word "ten, " inline 5, of
section 5, and inserting in the place thereof the word
"fifteen. "

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Hayes, from the Committee on Finance, re-
ported favorably the following:

Ordered, That the Public Printer be directed to
furnish the Postmaster of the Senate the addresses of
the newspapers of the State to which he has been
ordered to send copies of the daily journal printed on
gummed paper, so as to be readily separated for that
purpose, with the following proposed amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

After the word "purpose, " add the following words:
"The amount to "be paid the Public Printer for said
work not to exceed fifteen dollars, ($15. )
