House bill entitled an Act to appropriates sum of
money to pay the claim of Messrs. Thomas & Evans.,
printers and publishers of Baltimore city, for print-
ing the School Report.

Which was read the second time.

Senate bill entitled an Act to refund to Wellington
Heather, late Collector of Taxes for Caroline county,
sums of money erroneously paid by him.

With the following proposed amendments:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out all after the words "sum, " in lines 4 and
5, of section 1, of the bill, and insert in lieu thereof
the following: "eighteen dollars and twelve cents. "

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Brown, from the Committee on Judicial Pro-
ceedings, reported favorably the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of
"The President and Directors of the Firemens' In-
surance Company of Baltimore. "

Senate bill entitled an Act to prohibit any corpora-
tion which under the laws of this State shall act as
trustee, executor, administrator, &c., as fully as a
natural person, without bond or security other than,
its own obligation, from incurring the liability of a
security upon any bond.

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Article sixty-
six, of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
by adding thereto an additional section, to be num-
bered and designated as "Section twenty-three. "

Which were read the second time, and ordered to
be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Article 81, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Revenue and
Taxes, " sub-title "Sales by Collectors. "

Was considered, and ordered to lie over.

And unfavorably the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to add a section to
Article 93, of the Code of Public General Laws, title-
"Testamentary Law, " to be numbered "Section 5 A, "
