Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor
to employ counsel to assist the Attorney General in
the case of Maryland against West Virginia for settle-
ment of the disputed boundary line between said
States, and appropriating a s am of money for the pay-
ment of the retaining fee of such counsel.

Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Finance.

By Mr. Hayes, the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act providing that no corpo-
ration shall be dissolved by decree of any court of this
State until all taxes due the Sta e shall be fully paid
or adjusted.

Senate bill entitled an Act providing that the direct
war tax levied by the United States on the State of
Maryland and paid by the State of Maryland to the
United States, and recently refunded by the United
States to the State of Maryland, shall be credited to
the Defense Redemption Loan of the State of Mary-
land and invested for said loan in such securities as
are provided by law for the investment of the securi-
ties of the Sinking Fund.

Which were read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Finance.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 149 of Article 4, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore, "
sub-title "Coroner's Inquest and Dead Bodies, " as re-
enacted by chapter 207, of the Acts of 1890.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Baltimore City Senators

By Mr. Robinson,

Senate bill entitled an Act for the relief of the sure-
ties upon the official bonds of Stevenson Archer, late
Treasurer of Maryland.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Finance.
