ORDERS.
Mr. Hayes presented the following:
Ordered, That the Finance Committee of the Senate
be, and is hereby authorized to audit and settle the
expense incurred in procuring the necessary furniture
and supplies for the use of said Committee, and also
the expense incurred in coloring the walls and ceil-
ings of the rooms of said Committee, which said work
was done to remove the decolorations and stains
from dampness on said walls and ceilings.
And be it further ordered, That the Chairman on
Committee of Claims issue his certificate to pay the
aforesaid claims upon the certificate of the Finance
Committee or its Chairman.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance.
On motion By Mr. Moss, it was
Ordered, That Senators Bennett. Wirt and Woot-
ton be excused from attendance at to-day's session.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.

Senate bill entitled an Act to ratify, confirm and
approve the Act entitled an Act to authorize and
enable the County Commissioners of Caroline county
to aid the Deleware and Chesapeake Railway in the
construction of the Branch Railroad authorized by
chapter 260, of the Acts of 1886, by issuing bonds of
the county to t/he amount of 60, 000, for the purpose
of raising money to be expended in such construction,
and to levy a tax on the taxable property of said
county for the payment of the interest and principal
of said bonds, as authorized by chapter 390 of the
Acts of 1890.
Which was read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Dawson, Brown and Hepbron.

Senate bill entitled an Act to give the Legislative
assent of the State of Maryland to the Act of Con-
gress, entitled an Act to apply a portion of the pro-
ceeds of the public lands to the more complete endow-
