The Secretary of State, appeared and delivered
communication from the Executive.

At 2. 05 P. M.,
On motion by Mr, Robinson,

The Senate went into Executive Session.

At 2. 15 P. M.,

The Senate resumed the consideration of Legisla-
tive business, and,

On motion by Mr. Waters,

The Senate adjourned.

FRIDAY, January 29th, 1892.

Senate met at 12 M.

Prayer by Rev. Mr. Andrew.

Present at roll call the following Senators:

Messrs. President, Austin, Brown, Evans, Getty,
Gorter, Hayes, Hubner, Moss, Newman, Pearre,
Robinson, Rogers, Seibert, Smith, Talbott, Toadvin,
Waters, Wilkinson, Wirt, Wootton—21.

Proceedings of yesterday's session read and ap-
proved.

ORDERS.

Mr. Moss, submitted the following:

Ordered, That the President of the Senate be and
he is hereby authorized to appoint a Carpenter for the
Senate at a per diem of $—.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Finance

On motion by Mr. Robinson, it was

Ordered, That Senators Bennett, Coffin, Hepbron,
Posey and Dawson, be excused from this day's atten-
dance of the Senate.

Mr, Evans submitted the following:

Ordered, That the Superintendent of Public Build-
ings be required to furnish for each of the Committee
Rooms of the State House a thermometer, and to see
