Mr. Hayes presented the following:

BY THE SENATE,

January 28th, 1892.

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

Your message in lieu of the message of the Senate
of the 27th inst., relating to the fixing of the sessions

of the General Assembly, for the remainder of the ses-
sion, by joint action, which proposes that the two
Houses shall, during the remainder of this session,
and until otherwise ordered by the joint action of the
two Houses, hold sittings on every day. except Sat-
urdays and Sundays. That when the Houses adjourn
on Friday, they shall stand adjourned until the suc-
ceeding Monday, at 8 o'clock, P. M., and that the
hour of convening on other days shall be such as the
respective Houses may designate.

Provided, That it shall be in the province of either
House to sit on Saturday, if the condition of its busi-
ness shall require it, and to hold as many sittings per
day as it may deem necessary and proper, is received,
and we concur therein.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House

of Delegates.

Mr. Robinson submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

January 28th, 1892.

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We propose, with the concurrence of your Honor-
able Body, that the Speaker of the House and Presi-
dent of the Senate be authorized to make an appoint-
ment of a person as watchman in the Annex to State

Capital, as well as watchman for the Committee
Rooms situated there, and to perform such other
duties as may be required by the Speaker and Presi-
dent aforesaid.
