The unfavorable report was then adopted.
And, unfavorably,

Ordered by the Senate, That the .per diem of Fen-
ton Duvall, Clerk to the Library Committee, be in-
creased from three to five dollars.
Which was considered, and
On motion by Mr. Pearre,

The order was substituted for the unfavorable report,
read and adopted.

Mr. Waters, from the Committee on the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries, reported favorably the fol-
lowing:

House bill entitled an Act to regulate the taking of
oysters in certain waters of the State.

House bill entitled an Act to add a new section to
Article 72, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Oysters," sub-title "State Fishery Force."
Which were read the second time.
Mr. Waters, from the Committee on Federal Rela-
tions, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act granting the consent of
the General Assembly to the acquisition by the United
States, other States and societies, of certain lands for
the purpose of erecting monuments commemorative of
the battles of Antietam and Monocacy.
Which was read the second time.
Mr. Getty, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably the following bills :

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate a Turn-
pike and Tramway Company, to be known as the "Bal-
timore and Washington Turnpike and Tramway Com-
pany.
