Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay Noah C. Sterling for the loss of the
schooner Martha E. Freeman,

With the following proposed amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In section 1, line 5, strike out the words "seven
hundred and fifty" and insert in lieu thereof the
words "four hundred."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.

And, unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay the claim of Harry H. Mansback, of
Cumberland, for uniforms furnished the Garrett
Guards.

Which was considered, and

Mr. Pearre moved to substitute the bill for the un-
favorable report.
