1118 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 31,

REPORTS OF SELECT COMMITTEES.

Mr. Hubner, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,

House bill entitled an Act requiring the County
Commissioners of Baltimore county to grade, curb and
macadamize the road now called Eastern Avenue, at
Highlandtown, in Baltimore county.

With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Add an additional section to be known as "Section
5:"

"And be it further enacted, That before the said
County Commissioners of Baltimore county shall
expend any money under the provisions of this bill
the property owners on said Eastern avenue are here-
by required to deposit with the Treasurer of Balti-
more county, as a special fund, seventy live cents per
front foot on all property to be improved on said ave-
nue, for the purpose of curbing the same and paving
a gutter five feet wide."

Make section 5 section 6.

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Mr. Hepbron submitted the following message :

BY THE SENATE,

March 31st, 1892.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates;

We have received from your Honorable Body Senate
bill No. 324, entitled an Act to fix the terms of the
County Commissioners of Kent county, with an amend-
ment. The Senate declines to concur in said amend-
ment, and we respectfully propose the appointment of
a Conference Committee on the disagreeing votes of
the two Houses on said bill.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs.
Hepbron, Wootton and Wirt.

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House
of Delegates.
