REPORTS OF SELECT COMMITTEES.

Mr. Seibert, from, a Select- Committee, reported fav-
orably,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Washington county to subscribe for
an amount of stock in turnpike companies in said
county.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Moss, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 191,
192, 194 and 199, of Article 2, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," sub-title
"Roads."

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Pearre, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,

House bill entitled an Act to prohibit the issuing
of any license for the sale of spirituous or fermented
liquors or lager beer at or within a half mile of Nar-
row's Park, Allegany county.

With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In section 1, line 4, after the word "beer," insert
"in or."

In section 1, line 9, after the word "beer," insert
"in or."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.

Mr. Posey, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 136 of Article 5, 182 of Arti-
cle 9, and 112 of Article 19, of the Code of Public
Local Laws of the respective titles "Calvert County,"
"Charles County," and "St. Mary's County," and
under the sub-title "Terrapins, &c.," the said respec-
tive sections being an enactment in one chapter and
applicable to the three counties aforesaid.

Which was read the second time.
