1052 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 29,

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following bills :

House bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of
the Washington and Chesapeake Beach Railway
Company.

Bouse bill entitled an Act to amend section 3, chap-
ter 485, of the Acts of 1872.

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the town
of Solomons, in Calvert county.

Which were severally read the first time, and referred
to the Committee on Corporations.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Commis-
sioners of Harford county to grant a pension to Charles
C. Smith.

Which was read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Robinson, Seibert and Moss.

House bill entitled an Act to enable the Commis-
sioners of Baltimore county to open public roads in
the 13th district of Baltimore county.

Which was read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Hubner, Rogers and Moss.

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Cum-
berland Stone Company.

Which was the read first time, and referred to
Messrs. Pearre, Getty and Brown.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize Sarah J.
Holloway to settle her accounts as guardian to Minnie
F. Holloway.

Which was read the first time, and referred to
Messrs. Toadvin, Smith and Waters.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize and em-
power the Mayor and City Council of Westminster
to purchase water works tor said city.

Which was read the first lime, and referred to
Messrs. Bennett, Robinson and Hubner.

House bill entitled an Act to amend section 166, of
Article 38, of the Code of Public Genearl Laws, title
"Elections."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Elections.
