LAWS OF MARYLAND.

 

CHAPTER 500.

 

AN ACT to prohibit the issuing of any license

 

for the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors

 

at or within one-half mile of the village of Ash-

 

land, in Baltimore county, and to prevent the

 

sale of all kinds of intoxicating drinks in the

 

above described limits.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

 

of Maryland, That the Clerk of the Circuit Court

 

of Baltimore county shall not grant a license to

 

any person to sell spirituous or fermented liquors

 

of any kind at any place at or within one-half

 

mile, in any direction, of the village of Ashland,

in said county, and that any person selling any
spirituous or fermented liquors, or any kind of in-

prohibited.

toxicating drink, whether of original manufacture

 

or of a mixed character, within the above described

 

limits, shall, on conviction, be subject to the same

 

fines and punishments now provided by the Code

 

of Public General Laws of Maryland for selling

 

spirituous or fermented liquors without license.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

 

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 501.

 

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners

 

of Baltimore county to audit and settle the claim

 

of Augustus F. Dames against said county for

 

money expended by him in restoring the bridge

 

on Townsend avenue or Friendship lane, in said

 

county.

Preamble.

Whereas the bridge on Townsend avenue having
