CHAPTER 491.
AN ACT to authorize the Comptroller to adjust
and settle the claim of Francis P. Stevena, as-
signee, for amount due for furniture for the
State Normal School, and the claim of Frank
E. Davis for work at said school.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to adjust and set-
tle the claims of Francis P. Stevens, assignee,
against the State Normal School, for furniture, and	Settle claims.
of Frank E. Davis, for work at said school ; and
the Treasurer, upon the warrant of the Comp-
troller, is hereby authorized and directed to pay
the said claims out of any money in the Treasury
not otherwise appropriated; provided, however, that unless the certificate of the late Board of
Public Works is obtained for these claims, this
act shall be null and void as to the claims not so
approved; and the sum of one thousand dollars
be and the same is hereby appropriated to pay the claim of Francis P. Stevens, assignee, and the sum
of five hundred and ninety-five dollars be and the
same is hereby appropriated to pay the claim of
Frank B. Davis.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take	In force.
