Whereas for an equal time with the other troops'

jected to pecuniary loss and inconvenience by such

Whereas, from a misapprehension of the services
|

actually rendered by this company, which have

since been fully recognized, they were not paid by

|
the State authorities when the other troops of the
|
 
|
State were paid for similar services ; therefore —
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly
|
 
|
of Maryland, That the sum of one thousand and
|
 
|
twenty-four dollars be and the same hereby is ap-
|
 
|
propriated to pay the Groome Guard Infantry of
|
Appropriat'n
|
Cecil county, for services rendered the State dur-
|
 
|
ing the disorders of July and August, eighteen
|
 
|
hundred and seventy-seven ; and the Comptroller
|
 
|
be and he hereby is directed to draw his warrant
|
 
|
upon the Treasurer for the sum of one thousand
|
 
|
and twenty-four dollars to be paid to the Adjutant ,
|
 
|
General of the State out of any money in the
|
 
|
Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be by him
|
 
|
disbursed to pay said Groome Guard Infantry, in
like manner and to the same amounts as were paid
|
 
|
to the other troops of the State called into service
|
 
|
at that period.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
 
|
effect from the day of its passage.
|
 
|
