CHAPTER 489.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay

the claims of J. Q. Codling, Codling & Loane,
|
 
|
and George A. Frederick, for work done and
|
 
|
materials furnished at the House of Correction.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
 
|
of Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he is
hereby directed to draw his warrant upon the
|
 
|
Treasurer in favor of J. Q. Codling for the sum
|
 
|
of one thousand one hundred and seventy-three
|
 
|
dollars and sixty-seven cents, being the balance
due for work and materials furnished in and under
|
Claims speci-
fied to be paid
|
contract for the Maryland House of Correction ;
|
 
|
and for three thousand five hundred and forty-
|
 
|
seven dollars and four cents in favor of Codling &
|
 
|
Loane, and for one thousand six hundred and sixty
|
 
|
eight dollars and eighty-two cents in favor of
|
 
|
George A. Frederick, for work and materials fur-
|
 
|
nished at House of Correction.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
|

effect from and after the date of its passage.

the Groome Guard Infantry of Cecil county for

services rendered the State.
|
 
|
Whereas, by telegram dated July the twenty-
|
 
|
second, eighteen hundred and seventy-seven, from
the Adjutant General of the State, the Groome
|
Preamble.
|
Guard Infantry of Cecil county were called into
|
 
|
the service of the State, and, in obedience to said
