CHAPTER 489.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay
the claims of J. Q. Codling, Codling & Loane,
and George A. Frederick, for work done and
materials furnished at the House of Correction.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he is hereby directed to draw his warrant upon the
Treasurer in favor of J. Q. Codling for the sum
of one thousand one hundred and seventy-three
dollars and sixty-seven cents, being the balance due for work and materials furnished in and under	Claims speci- fied to be paid
contract for the Maryland House of Correction ;
and for three thousand five hundred and forty-
seven dollars and four cents in favor of Codling &
Loane, and for one thousand six hundred and sixty
eight dollars and eighty-two cents in favor of
George A. Frederick, for work and materials fur-
nished at House of Correction.
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take	In force.
effect from and after the date of its passage.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay
the Groome Guard Infantry of Cecil county for
services rendered the State.
Whereas, by telegram dated July the twenty-
second, eighteen hundred and seventy-seven, from the Adjutant General of the State, the Groome	Preamble.
