company as provided in the acts of eighteen hun-

dred and seventy, chapter one hundred and eighty-

two, or by imprisonment in the county or city jail
|
 
|
for not less than two weeks or more than two
|
 
|
months.

SEC. 27. And be it enacted, That the sum of thirty
|
 
|
thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be
|
 
|
necessary, is hereby appropriated for the support
|
 
|
of the militia of this State for the year eighteen
|

hundred and seventy-eight ; and the sum of fifteen

thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be

necessary, is hereby appropriated for the support
of the militia for the year eighteen hundred and

seventy-nine; said sums of money being hereby
|

appropriated out of any money not otherwise ap-
propriated in the Treasury of the State, to enable
|
 
|
the commander-in-chief to carry into effect the
|
 
|
provisions of this article, and he is hereby author-
|
 
|
ized to apply said funds as will in his judgment
|
 
|
best promote the interests of this act, the salary
|
 
|
of the Adjutant General to be included in and paid
|
 
|
out of the aforesaid sum ; and the Comptroller of
|
 
|
the Treasury shall, in his report to the General
|
 
|
Assembly, make a statement showing in detail the
|
 
|
items of all expenditures for military purposes of
|
 
|
said funds.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
