Frederick, as a body corporate, shall be " The Mayor

and Aldermen of Frederick," and by that name they

shall possess and exercise the same corporate powers,
rights and functions, and remain subject to the same

duties, liabilities and obligations as they now do and

are as the Mayor, Aldermen and Common Council

of Frederick.

87. SUB-SEC. 1. The Governor shall annually, be-
fore the tenth day of December, appoint one person

trict for which he is appointed, and the said officer

of registration shall register in a book to be prepared

for the purpose, all male citizens above the age of

twenty-one years, who shall have the requisite qual-

ifications to entitle them to vote for Mayor and Al-
|
 
|
dermen. Every male person, who shall be a citizen
|
 
|
of the United States, and who shall have resided
|
 
|
within the State of Maryland for twelve months,
|
 
|
and in the aldermanic district wherein he offers to
|
 
|
register six months next preceding the election, shall
|
 
|
be entitled to be registered ; provided always that
|
 
|
where any person shall be legally registered in any
|
 
|
of said districts, and shall remove therefrom to any
|
 
|
other of said districts, and remain therein, he shall be
|
 
|
entitled to have his name remain on the registry list
|
 
|
of the district from which he shall remove as afore-
