CHAPTER 448.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of

Queen Anne's county to review and re-assess the

property belonging to the vestry of Christ Church

(Protestant Episcopal), situated on Kent Island,

the fourth election district of said county.

Whereas the assessment made by the assessors ap-

pointed for Queen Anne's county, in the year eigh-

teen hundred and seventy-six, upon the farm situate

on Kent Island, and belonging to the vestry and

their successors, under a deed of trust, is far above

the cash market value of said farm, on account of

one hundred acres, more or less, of marsh land con-

tained therein, which was assessed at the same rate

per acre as the arrable land, and the same being

added to the comparatively small amount of acreage

remaining, making the taxes burdensome, and desir-

ing them placed upon an equal footing with other

lands; therefore —

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
