198. And be it enacted, That any person offend-

ing against any of the provisions of this act, and
|
 
|
being convicted thereof before any justice of the
|

peace in this county, or by the oath or affirmation
|
 
|
of one or more witnesses, shall forfeit the fine or

for the protection of game, fish and birds of Alle-

gany county, incorporated or to be incorporated
under the General Incorporation Laws of Mary-

land, and if the offender, after being convicted of

the offence, shall refuse to pay the said fines so im-
|
 
|
posed by this act, he or they shall be committed
|
 
|
to the jail of the county for every such offence for
|
 
|
the space of ten days, provided however, that such
|
 
|
conviction shall be made within sixty days after
|
 
|
committing the offence.

198a. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty
|
 
|
of the constables and public officers of the several
|
 
|
election districts of the county or wards of the
|

several cities, to arrest all persons whom they may
|
violations.

see or suspect of violating any of the sections of
|
 
|
this act, and take them before the nearest justice
|
 
|
of the peace, to be dealt with as this act directs.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from the date of its passage.
