CHAPTER 336.

AN ACT to ratify the construction placed by the
|
 
|
Notaries Public of Baltimore city upon section
|
 
|
twenty-five of article thirty-eight of the Code of
|
 
|
Public General Laws, title " Fees of Officers."
|
 
|
sub-title " Notaries Public," and to authorize
|
 
|
the refunding of any money paid into the State
|
 
|
Treasury under a different construction of said
|
 
|
act.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly
|
 
|
of Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he is
|
 
|
hereby authorized to settle with all the Notaries
|
 
|
Public of Baltimore city, who have heretofore
|

made their returns regularly to his department, in
|

settle.

accordance with said returns, and the construction

|
placed in and by said returns upon section twenty-
five of article thirty-eight of the Code of Public

General Laws.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Comptroller
|
 
|
be and he is hereby further authorized and directed

to draw his warrant upon the Treasurer in the favor
|
 
|
of Ed. Raine, of Baltimore city, for the sum of
one hundred and forty-one dollars, paid by him
into the Treasury of the State under a different
