CHAPTER 337.
|

AN ACT to repeal sections eleven and twelve of
|
 
|
article fifty-six of the Code of Public General
|
 
|
Laws, title " License," sub-title " Brokers," and
|
 
|
to re-enact section eleven so as to read as follows :
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
 
|
of Maryland, That sections eleven and twelve of
|
Repealed and
|
article fifty-six of the Code of Public General
|
re-enacted.
|
Laws be and the same are hereby repealed, and
|
 
|
section eleven re-enacted so as to read as follows :
|
 
|
SEC. 11. Any person or partnership applying for
|
License for
|
the same, and paying the sum of seventy-five dol-
|
merchandise
|
lars for each individual or representative of such
|
broker.
|
firm or partnership, may obtain a license for car-
|
 
|
rying on the business of a merchandise broker.
|
In force.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
 
|
effect from the date of its passage.
|
 
|

CHAPTER 338.
|

AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and City Coun-
|
 
|
cil of Baltimore city to subscribe to the capital
|
 
|
stock of the Maryland and Delaware Ship Canal
|
 
|
Company, or to endorse the bonds of said
|
 
|
company.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
 
|
of Maryland, That the Mayor and City Council of
|
 
|
Baltimore city be and they are hereby authorized
|
Subscribe to
|
and empowered to subscribe to the capital stock
|
capital stock,
|
of the Maryland and Delaware Ship Canal Com-
|
 
|
pany, or to endorse the first mortgage bonds of
|
 
|
the said company, to an amount not exceeding five
|
