	CHAPTER. 51.
	AN ACT to refund to James L. Thomas, of Calvert
	county, a certain sum of money erroneously paid
	into the Treasury.
	SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
	bly of Maryland, That the Treasurer be and he
	is hereby authorized and directed, upon the warrant
	of the Comptroller, to pay to James L. Thomas,
	of Calvert county, the sum of twenty-four dollars and ten cents, being the sum by which the said	Repay over- paid taxes.
	James L. Thomas has overpaid his account as
	Collector of State taxes for the .first district of
	Calvert county, for the year eighteen hundred and
	seventy-five.
	SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
	take effect from the date of its passage.

	CHAPTER 52.
	AN ACT to authorize and empower the Governor
	to appoint additional Justices of the Peace in the
	fifth and fourth election districts in Montgomery
	county.
	SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
	of Maryland, That the Governor be and he is hereby authorized and empowered to appoint a Justice of	Appoint ad-
