CHAPTER. 51.

AN ACT to refund to James L. Thomas, of Calvert
|
|
|
|
county, a certain sum of money erroneously paid
|
|
|
|
into the Treasury.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
|
|
|
|
bly of Maryland, That the Treasurer be and he
|
|
|
|
is hereby authorized and directed, upon the warrant
|
|
|
|
of the Comptroller, to pay to James L. Thomas,
|
|
|
|
of Calvert county, the sum of twenty-four dollars
and ten cents, being the sum by which the said
|
Repay over-
paid taxes.
|
|
|
James L. Thomas has overpaid his account as
|
|
|
|
Collector of State taxes for the .first district of
|
|
|
|
Calvert county, for the year eighteen hundred and
|
|
|
|
seventy-five.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
|
|
|
|
take effect from the date of its passage.
|
|
|
|

CHAPTER 52.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Governor
|
|
|
|
to appoint additional Justices of the Peace in the
|
|
|
|
fifth and fourth election districts in Montgomery
|
|
|
|
county.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That the Governor be and he is hereby
authorized and empowered to appoint a Justice of
|
