CHAPTER 301.

AN ACT to repeal article thirty-one of the Code of

Public General Laws, entitled " Crows," so far as

the same relates to Saint Mary's county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

Repeal

of Maryland, That article thirty-first of the Code
of Public General Laws, entitled " Crows," be and

the same is hereby repealed, so far as the same re-

lates to Saint Mary's county.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 302.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of

Frederick county to refund to Martha R. Mines

taxes paid by her, if satisfied that such taxes were

paid upon property not in existence.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of

Frederick county be and are hereby authorized to

enquire and ascertain if Martha R. Mines has paid

any taxes upon property which was not in existence

at the time, and which was not owned by the party

to whom assessed or by any one else, and if satisfied
that she has paid taxes upon property erroneously
charged upon the assessment books and which ought

not to have been so charged, then the said County

Commissioners are hereby authorized to refund or

levy back to her the amount of taxes so found to

have been paid by her.
