the largest circulation in the same, for printing and

publishing for St. Mary's county, including the an-

nual statement of the expenses and such other printing
|

as is required to be done and paid for by the county,
|
 
|
for the period of .one year from said day of contract,
|
 
|
but this not to apply to or include publication of
local laws ; provided said contract does not allow or
|
 
|
exceed the sum of seven hundred dollars.

SEO. 2. Be it enacted, That if the County Com-
|
 
|
missioners of St. Mary's county fail to effect such
|
 
|
contract for printing at the sum or a less sum as
|
 
|
aforesaid, then they are authorized to adopt any
|
