James W. Bradley, John Wilson, Hiram B. Cooper,
James Robinson, Robert M. L. Elzey, Thomas J.
Twilley, Clement J. Grarenner, and their successors
in office, are hereby created a body corporate and
politic, by the name and style of the Trustees of As-
bury Methodist Episcopal Church, of Sharptown,
Wicomico county, and by that name shall have per-
petual succession, and shall be able and capable in
law to sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded,
answer and be answered, write in every court of law
or equity, or before any judge thereof in this State
or elsewhere, and to make and have a common seal,	Have a com-

be necessary to carry into effect this corporation not
inconsistent with the laws of this State or of the
United States.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the corporation
hereby created shall be able and capable in law to
have, hold and purchase, receive, possess, enjoy and.	Hold and
retain to them and their successors in office any	possess estate
estate or interest whatever, and not to exceed in
value thirty thousand dollars in property, real, per-
sonal or mixed, by deed, assignment, devise, bequest
or other mode of conveyance or transfer of, or from
every person, bodies, public or corporate, having
legal capability to make such transfer or convey-
ances, and the same to improve with such church,	May improve
meeting house and parsonage, for the use of the con-
gregation for public or other worship, and for a
residence of the pastor of the congregation, not in-
consistent with the discipline of the Methodist Epis-
copal Church, and to sell, rent, mortgage and convey all or any part of any property belonging to or that
may thereafter belong to the said corporation, ac-
cording to the rules of discipline of the Methodist
Episcopal Church.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all lands and ten-
ements, with the appurtenances, now belonging to
or held in the name of the incorporation herein
named for the benefit of said church, and all per-
sonal property, fixtures and furniture now held by
them, shall, from and after the passage of this act,	Vested in cor-
