company in the construction of its railroad for the

purpose of forming a connection of said last men-

tioned road with the Baltimore and Delta Railway

Company ; or the said last mentioned railway com-

pany may lease or purchase any part or all of any
|
 
|
railroad constructed by any other company, if said
|
 
|
company's lines of said road are continuous, or con-
|
 
|
nected as aforesaid, or intended to be made so by the
|
 
|
purchasing company upon such terms and conditions
|
 
|
as may be agreed on between said companies re-
|
 
|
spectively ; or said railway company may enter into
|
 
|
an arrangement with any other connecting company
|
 
|
for their common benefit consistent with and calcu-
|
 
|
lated to promote the objects for which they were
|
 
|
created.
|
 
|
SEC. 15. And be it enacted, That the railway com-
|
 
|
pany shall be required to erect at all points where
|
 
|
their road shall cross any public road at a sufficient
|
 
|
elevation from such public road to admit of the free
|
 
|
passage of vehicles of every kind, a sign with large
and distinct letters placed thereon, to give notice of
|

the necessity of looking out for the cars ; and said

railway company neglecting or refusing to erect such

sign, shall be liable in damages for all injuries occur-

SEC 16. And be it enacted, That said railway com-

pany shall be liable to be sued in the city of Balti-
