CHAPTER 128.

AN ACT to repeal section one hundred and seventy-
six, of chapter three hundred and fourteen, of an
act passed January session, eighteen hundred and
seventy, entitled " An Act to add additional sec-
tions to article eleven of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Frederick county, relating to the powers
and duties of the Mayor, Aldermen and Common
Council of Frederick," to follow section one hun-
dred and sixty-nine, added thereto by the act of
eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, chapter eighty-
seven, and to enact a substitute in lieu thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, ly the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section one hundred and seventy-
six, of chapter three hundred and fourteen, of an act
passed January session, eighteen hundred and seven-
ty, entitled " An Act to add additional sections to
article eleven of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Frederick county, relating to the powers and duties
of the Mayor, Aldermen and Common Council of
Frederick, to follow section one hundred and sixty-
nine, added thereto by the act of eighteen hundred
and sixty-eight, chapter eighty-seven, be and the
same is hereby repealed, and that the following be
and the same is hereby enacted in lieu thereof and
as a substitute thereof:

176. And be it enacted, That the taxable limits
of Frederick city shall from and after the passage
of this act be as follows: Beginning on the Fred-
erick and Woodsbora turnpike, at Eighth street,
and running thence eastwardly by and with the
northern boundary line of Eight street to the east-
ern boundary line of East street, thence southwardly
by and with the eastern boundary line of East street
to Second street, thence eastwardly by a strait line
in perlongation of the northern boundary line of
Second street until said line so prolonged intersects
the southern boundary line of the Frederick and
Monocacy turnpike, thence southwardly by a straight
