CHAPTER 90.

AN ACT to incorporate the town of New Market,
|
|
|
|
in Frederick county.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
Town of New
Market
|
of Maryland, That the citizens of the town of
New Market, in Frederick county are a body cor-
|
|
|
|
porate, the [the] name of the commissioners of the
|
|
|
|
town of New Market, and by that name may have
|
|
|
Perpetual
|
perpetual succession, sue and be sued, and may have
|
|
|
succession.
|
and use a common seal, which they may alter or
|
|
|
|
break at pleasure.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the limits of said
|
|
|

town of New Market, for the purpose of taxation

as well as for all other purposes, shall be as follows:

Beginning.

Beginning for the same at the end of a line drawn
|
|
|
|
due south, and five feet from an elm tree (said tree

|
|

being at the west end of the said town, and about
|
|
|
|
fifty feet south from the middle of the Baltimore and
|
|
|
|
Frederick Turnpike road), then running first south
|
|
|
|
eleven degrees west, thirty-two perches; second,
|
|
|
|
north eighty-eight degrees east, two hundred and
|
|
|
|
fourteen and seven-tenths perches; third, north two
|
|
|
|
degrees west, sixty-four perches ; fourth, south eighty-
|
|
|
|
eight degrees west, two hundred and eleven and
|
|
|
|
three tenths perches ; then fifth, south eleven degrees
|
|
|
|
west, thirty-two and one-tenth perches to the place
|
|
|
|
of beginning.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the male citizens
|
|
|
|
of the said town of New Market, of the age of
