Mr. Sanders introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to add a new section to
Article 39, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Fish and Fisheries," under the new sub-title
"Pound Nets," to follow immediately after section
63, to be designated as section 63 A.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
Mr. Field introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to pay to Cornelius Mc-
Cormick a sum of money to reimburse him for losses
incuired by leason of the wrongful seizure of the
schooner Julia A. Jones, belonging to him, by the
State Fishery Force.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
Mr. Field introduced,
House bill entitled an Act for the regulation of the
sale of opium and cocaine in any form.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Hygeine
Mr. Joyce introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of
the Baltimore, Canton and Point Breeze Railroad
Company of Baltimore city.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.
RESOLUTIONS.
Mr. Collins introduced,
House Joint Resolution tendering the thanks of the
State of Maryland to Commander Richard J. Leary,
United States Navy, and authorizing the Governor to
procure and present to him as a testimonial a gold
chronometer watch suitably inscribed.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
Mr. Carter introduced,
Joint Resolution empowering the Governor to move
and dispose of the iron railing around the grounds of
the Executive Mansion.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
