On motion of Mr. Field,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled an Art to pay to
Cornelius McCormick a sum of money to reimburse
him for losses incurred by reason of the wrongful
seizure of the schooner Julia A. Jones, belonging to
him, by the State Fishery Force
On motion of Mr. Meredith,
Leave was granted to the Dorchester County Dele-
gation to introduce a bill to repeal certain sections of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Public Edu-
cation," so far as the same relates to Dorchester
county, and re-enact with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Ireland
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corpora-
tions to introduce a bill entitled an Act to incorpor-
ate the town of "Solomons," in Calvert county.
On motion of Mr. McSherry,
Leave was granted to the Frederick County Delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled an Act to empower
the Board of School Commissioners of Frederick
county to grant fall scho arships to students of
Frederick county to Normal Schools in said county.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
Mr. Leonard introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay Frank T. Gibson for publishing the Con-
stitutional Amendments and Governor's Proclamation,
in accordance with authority from the Governor of
the State of Maryland.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
Mr. Fox introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to amend Article 56, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Licenses,"
sub-title "Traders,'' by adding an additional section
thereto, to follow immediately after section 54 B, and
to be called section 54 C.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
