Mr. Anderson presented a petition from the Hon.
James U. Dennis and 300 other citizens of Princess
Anne District, Somerset county, protesting against
the submission of a high license liquor law for said
district.

Mr, Godwin presented a petition of Woodland P.
Finley, John H. Evans and 60 other citizens of Queen
Anne's county, against the passage of an Act author-
izing the County Commissioners of said county, or
individuals or corporations, to erect, or cause to be
erected wharves at the public landings in Chester
river.
