Mr. Smith, of Dorchester, reported favorably, from
a Select Committee,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 277, of
Article 10, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Dorchester County." sub-title "Roads,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments and to add
an additional section thereto, to come in after section
277, and to be designated "277 A."
Which was read a second time.
BILLS-SECOND READING.
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of
Article 74, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Pilots," and to re-enact the same with amendments.
House bill entitled an Act to amend Article 53, sec-
tion 17, of the Code at Public General Laws, title
"Landlord and Tenant."
House bill entitled an Act authorizing the trans-
cribing certain indexes of records and will books in
the office of Register of Wills for Washington county,
Maryland.
House bill entitled an Act to add a new section to
Article 4, to the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"City of Baltimore," under a new sub-title to be called
sub-title "Oysters," and to be known as "Section 704
A," relating to the licensing of measurers of oysters
in the city of Baltimore and their compensation.
House bill entitled an Act to add a new section to
Article 53, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Landlords and Tenant," sub-title "Distress for
Rent," prohibiting the removal, sale, secretion or de-
struction of property or effects liable for rent by the
tenant, until the rent is paid, or Ly and with the
written consent of the landlord, to come in after sec-
tion 18, and to be designated as "Section 18 A."
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of
Article 74, of the Public General Laws, title "Pilots,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 1, of
Article 80, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Reporter, State," and to re-enact the same with
amendments.
House bill entitled an Act to correct and make
perfect the charter of the Monumental Social Club of
Baltimore city.
