INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
Mr. Carter introduced,
House bill entitled an Act appropriating a sum of
money to refund to E. Calvin Williams, administrator
pendente lite of Mary A. Conine, deceased, late of
Baltimore city, erroneously paid by him into the
State Treasury as a tax on commissions, in pursuance
of Article 81, Section 97, of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
Mr. Brashears introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to appropriate (contin-
gently) a sum of money for the purpose of defraying
the expenses of experimental efforts to propagate and
increase the oyster supply.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Weans.
Mr. Hill introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of
the Washington and Chesapeake Beach Railway
Company.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.
Mr. Gallagher introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to give and grant the
sanction and consent of the General Assembly of
Maryland to certain legacies and bequests contained
in the last will and testament of Peter Kelly, late of
Baltimore city, deceased.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporation.
Mr. Ellegood introduced.
House bill entitled an Act to extend the privileges
and immunities of the Baltimore and Eastern Shore
Raihoad Company.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations,
ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. Laird, it was
Ordered, That when the House adjoins to-night it
stand adjourned until 11 o'clock A. M. toanorrow.
