Prommissory notes, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Mr. Field, from the Committee on Militia, reported
favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 5, of
Act 65, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Militia," and to enact the same with amendments.
Which was read a second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
Mr. Sams, from the Committee on Education, re-
ported unfavorably,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 6, of
Article 77, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Public Education," sub-title "Formation of Boards,"
and section 18 of the same Article and title, sub-title
"Duties of County School Commissioners," so far as
the said sections relate to Dorchester county, and to
enact the following in lieu thereof : "For Dorchester
county."
Mr. Meredith moved to substitute the bill for the
unfavorable report.
