On motion of Mr. Fitzgerald,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled an Act to refund to
licensed measurers of oysters in the city of Baltimore
the license fees paid by them to the Clerk of the Court
of Common Pleas of Baltimore city in the years 1888,
1889, 1890, 1891 and 1892.
On motion of Mr. Sams,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary to introduce a bill entitled an Act to give the
sanction of the General Assembly of Maryland to the
bequest of Mary Warfield to the Church of the Ascen-
sion in Baltimore city.
On motion of Mr. Grove, of Frederick,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled an Act to appro-
priate a sum of money to erect a monument over the
grave of Francis Scott Key in Mount Olivet Cemetery,
in Frederick city, Maryland.
On motion of Mr. Bowie, of Baltimore city,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled an Act to appro-
priate a sum of money to pay the claim of Wyatt
Owens, for material and labor furnished in the en-
largement of the Maryland State House.
On motion of Mr. Carter,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary to introduce a bill entitled an Act to add an ad-
dition section to Article 23, of the Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland, title "Corporations," to
be designated as "Section 39 A."
