INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
Mr. McSherry introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to sanction the bequest
contained the last will and testament of Mary A.
Dodge, late of Baltimore city, to the Lebanon Valley
College of Armville, Lebanon county, Pennsylvania.
Which was read a first time and referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary.
Mr. Fitzgerald introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay for land that may be acquired for the
extension of the lands of the Maryland House of Cor-
rection.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
Also,
House bill entitled an Act to empower the Direc-
tors of the Maryland House of Correction, to pur-
chase or condemn land and improvements for the ex-
tension and enlarging of the lands of said Maryland
Bouse of Correction.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
Also,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 34 A,
and 34 B, of Article 56, of the Code of Public General
Laws, of the State of Maryland, title "Licenses," as
enacted at the January Session of 1890, chapter 159,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
Mr. Lane introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to refund to Hutchins
Crawford, of Calvert county, a sum of money paid by
him to the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Calvert
County, and by said clerk paid into the Treasury of
the State for a commission as Sheriff of said county
which commission was annulled by the Circuit Court
of Calvert county aforesaid.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Claims.
