Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled an Act to empower
the Directors of the Maryland House of Correction to
purchase or condemn land and improvements for the
extension and enlarging of the lands of said Maryland
House of Correction.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal
sections 34 A and 34 B, of Article 56, of the Code of
Public General Laws of the State of Maryland, title
"Licenses," as enacted at the January Session of
1890, chapter 159, and to re enact the same with
amendments.
On motion of Mr. Miles,
Leave was granted to the Dorchester County Dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal
section 83, of Article 10, of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Dorchester County," sub title "Cam
bridge," as amended by the Act of 1890, chapter 811
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Dorchester County Dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize
the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Dorchester county
to make or have made a General Index of the Land
Records of said county, and to provide for the pay-
ment therefor.
On motion of Mr. Meredith,
Leave was granted to the Dorchester County Dele-
gation to introduce a bill authorizing the Governor to
appoint one additional Magistrate for East New-
market District, Dorchester county.
On motion of Mr. Carter,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary to introduce a bill entitled an Act to grant the
sanction and consent of the General Assembly of
Maryland to a bequest in the will of Thomas H. Han-
son, late of Baltimore city, deceased, to Welton
Snowden, trustee, for the benefit and use of the
vestry of St. Mary's Church, Hampden, Baltimore
county.
