trict, opposed to local option bill, within one mile of
Bartholow's Station, in Frederick county.
Which was read and referred to the Frederick
County Delegation.
ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. Joyce, it was
Ordered, That the Committee on Corporations be
excused from to-night's session.
On motion of Mr. Fitzgerald, it was
Ordered, That the House at its session to-night
consider House bills on second and third reading files
to which there is no objection.
LEAVES TO INTRODUCE BILLS.
On motion of Mr. McSherry,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary to introduce a bill entitled an Act to sanction a
bequest in the last will and testament of Mary A.
Dodge, late of Baltimore city, to the Lebanon Yalley
College of Annville, Lebanon county, Pennsylania.
On motion of Mr. Lane,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to refund to Hutchins
Crawford, of Calvert county, a sum of money paid by
him to the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Calvert
pwinty, and by said clerk paid into the Treasury of
the State for a commission as sheriff of said county,
which commission was annulled by the Circuit Court
for Calvert county aforesaid.
On motion of Mr. Fitzgerald,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled an Act to appro-
propriate a sum of money to pay for land that may
be acquired for the extension of the lands of the
Maryland House of Correction.
