Mr. Leonard presented a petition from Mrs. M. A,
Covington, Mrs. J. F. Turner and 52 other prominent
ladies of Talbot county, in favor of local option and
against high license.

bot County Delegation.
Mr. Strong presented a petition from H. W. Vickers
and 96 other citizens of Kent county, opposing any
change in the local law of said county, requiring suits
to be brought in the districts where the defendants
may reside.
Which was read and referred to the Kent County
Delegation.
Also presented a petition from T. E. Hays, D. J.
Noland and 86 other citizens of Kent county, op-
posing any local law for Kent county requiring suits
before Justice of the Peace to be brought in any
designated district.
Which was read, and referred to the Kent County
Delegation.
Also presented a petition of W. Frank Hines and
59 others, opposing change of law relating to taxes
paid the commissioners of Chestertown, by the County
Commissioners of Kent county.
Which was read, and referred to the Kent County
Delegation.
Mr. Hayman presenter! a petition from Charles M
Peters and 35 other citizens of the Fourth Election
District of Worcester county, praying for the passage
of a law permitting the manufacturing of brandy or
wine from apples. peaches or grapes, to sell the same
in quantities not less than one pint in said district.
Which was read and referred to the Worcester
County Delegation.
Mr. Grove, of Frederick, presented a petition from
F. B. Bartholow, Joseph W. Clay and 26 others,
asking that a law be passed prohibiting the sale of
spirituous and intoxicating; liquors within one mile
of Bartholow's Switch, in Frederick county.
Which was read, and referred to the Frederick
County Delegation.
