Mr. Combs submitted the following proposed amend-
ment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
In section 8, line 4, amend by inserting after the
word "Act," the following words: "Except the As-
sessors and Board of Control and Review in the coun-
ties of Charles and St. Mary's who shall receive the
sum of three dollars per day for every day of actual
service performed by them."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Combs submitted the following proposed
amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 8, line 8, after the word "Board," insert the
following: "The Clerk to said Board of Control and
Review in Charles and St. Mary's counties shall re-
ceive the sum of $3.00 per day for each day of actual
service performed by them.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Ellegood submitted the following proposed
amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 7, line 3, after the words "each county,"
"except for Wicomico county, in which the County
Commissioners shall act as a Board of Control and
Review."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Ellegood submitted the following proposed
amendment:
AMENDNENT PROPOSED.
Section 26, line 52, after the word "explained," in-
sert the following: "Provided that the County Com-
missioners for Wicomico county shall act as a Board
of Control and Review in the said county, and shall
sit Tuesday and Wednesday of each week during
their entire term, and no more, and shall remain in
session not less than six hours on each day of meet-
ing, and shall receive pay only for the days on which
they shall actually be in session."
Which was adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was then read a second time
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
