half miles thereof.

On motion, recommitted to the Committee on
Temperance.
House bill entitled an Act to prohibit the granting
of licenses for the sale of spirituous or fermented
liqnors or lager beer within three miles of Forrest
Grove Merhodist Episcopal Church South, in Fred-
erick c6unty.
Considered, and
On motion, recommitted to the Committee on Tem-
perance
House bill entitled an Act to repeal certain sections,
Code of Public Local Laws, Article 20, title "Somer-
set County," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.
Mr. Sterling submitted the following proposed
amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Strike out "section 95," substitute the following in
lieu thereof, to be designated "95 and 95 A :"
"Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That all that part of Crisfield District,
in Somerset county, lying between the present limits
of Crisfield and the metes and bounds hereinafter
named, be and the same is hereby annexed to and
made a part of the town of Crisfield, to wit: Begin-
ning at the present boundary of the said town set up
at Hammock Point; thence by a straight line, touch-
ing the southeast corner of Henry F. Jewitt's house,
to the new county road from the High School to As-
bury Church ; 'thence by a straight line to a point on
the east side of the Eastern Shore Railroad and the
north side o( the new county road, through the lands
of James H. Ward's to Mariner's Church, where the
said railroad and county road cross each other, and
from the said intersection by the dividing line be-
tween Crisfield and Lawson's Districts, running to
Little Annamessex River; thence by a straight line
to the present boundary on Long Point."
