Mr. Smith, of Washington county, from a Select
Committee, reported favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to legalize and make valid
the appointment of Registers of Voters and the Board
of Supervisors of Elections in the city of Hagerstown,
and the entries made, acts done, and proceedings-
taken by said Registers of Voters in attempted pur-
suance of the duties required of them respectively,
by the provisions of chapter 36, of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, passed at its present
January Session, entitled an Act to repeal sections
156 and 159, of Article 22, of the Code of Public Local
Laws, entitled "Washington County," sub-title
"Hagerstown," and to re-enact the following in lieu
thereof, in amending and revising the charter of
Hagerstown, and in providing for the government
thereof, and to add new and additional sections to
Article 22, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Washington County," sub-title "Hagerstown."
Mr. Wallen, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 113, of
Article 18, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, entitled "Queen Anne's County," sub-title
"Church Hill," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.
Mr. Carrico, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 49, of
Article 9, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Charles County," sub-title "County Commissioners
and County Treasurer,' and to re-enact the same with,
amendments and to add two additional sections there-
to, to be known as section 49 A and section 49 B.
Mr. Schlaffer, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to prevent the sale of
fermented or spirituous liquors or lager beer within a
radius of one mile and a half from the point ol cross-
ing of the Baltimore and Yorktown Turnpike and the
Northern Central Railway at Parkton, in Baltimore
county.
