Mr. Grove, of Cecil, introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Elkton
Electric Light and Power Company.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.
Mr. O'Conor introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to add an additional sec-
tion to Article 27, of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Crimes and Punishments," sub-title
"False Pretenses," to protect the drivers of cabs,
hacks, coaches or other vehicles, licensed to carry
passengers for hire, from swindlers, frauds and beats.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary.
The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:
Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower
the County Commissioners of Kent county to open a
street or road through certain private property in said
county.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Kent County Delegation and Mr. Michaels,

Senate bill entitled an Act to extend the charter of
Mount Savage Lodge, No. 43, Independent Order of
Odd Fellows, granted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, at its December Session, 1844, chapter 293,
and to grant additional powers to said corporation.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Isle of
Wight Inlet and Oyster Planting Company of Wor-
cester county.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
