House bill entitled an Act to regulate the compensa-
tion of Jurors, Bailiff, Cryer and Messengers to the
Circuit Court for St. Mary's county.
Mr. Lane submitted the following proposed amend-
ment :
Strike out "county," in title and body of the bill,
and insert in lieu thereof the words "Calvert coun-
ties."
Which was adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was then read a second time
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay Wm. B. Usilton and others for publish-
ing the Governors Proclamation after the election,
announcing the result of the voting for and against
the Constitutional Amendments.
Mr. Collins submitted the following proposed
amendment:

In section 1, line 7, after the words "Easton
Ledger," insert the words "forty-eight dollars," in
iavor of Burton S. Highley, of the Talbot "Times," '

Public General Laws, title "Juries."
