Collins, Wooters, Leonard, Anderson, Sterling, Smith,
of Dorchester, Miles, Kirk, Grove, of Cecil,.
Bowie, of Prince George's, Hill, Bryan, Wallen,
Franklin, Wilkinson, Hay man, McSherry, Gaver,.
Sappingron, of Frederick, Bevard, Hayward, Stearns,
Johnson, Thompson, Fitzgerald, Brennan, Carter,
Bowie, of Baltimore city, Sams, Joyce, Fockler,

NEGATIVE—None
The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments sections 206, 207, 220 and 237, of
the Acts of 1890, chapter 201, entitled an Act to repeal
and re-enact certain sections of Article 17, of the Code
of Public Local Laws, entitled ''Prince George's
County," sub-title "Laurel," and to add additional
sections thereto.
Endorsed: "Read the third time, and passed by
yeas and nays, with proposed amendments."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Amend enacting clause by making the section sec-
tion 5 instead of section 4.
Add the following section to follow section 3:
"Section 4. And be it enacted, That at said election
to be held on the first Monday in April, in the present
year, the qualified voters of said town be and they
are hereby authorized to cast a ballot "For the ap-
pointment of officers," or "Against the appointment
of officers," and if the majority of votes be "For the
appointment of officers," then sections 207 and 237, as
by this Act repealed and re-enacted, shall be in full
force and effect, but if the majority of votes cast be
"Against the appointment of officers," then said sec-
tions 207 and 237, as herein repealed and re-enacted,
shall be of none effect and said sections shall remain
