On motion of Mr. Stearns,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corpora-
tions to introduce a bill entitled an. Act to provide for
the mode of acquisition of property by the Baltimore
Forwarding Railroad Company, and to authorize said
company to connect its tracks with those of other
railroad companies and to grant it additional powers
as a railroad company.
On motion of Mr. Carter,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore City Delegation
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-
enact with amendments new section 653 D, of Article
4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of
Baltimore," sub title "Liquor and Intoxicating
Drinks," as enacted by chapter 348 of the Acts of
Maryland of 1890.
On motion of Mr. Griffith,
Leave was granted to the Montgomery County Dele-
tion to introduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize
the County Commissioners of Montgomery county to
subscribe to the capital stock of turnpike companies
in said county.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
Mr. Sams introduced,
House bill entitled an Act granting the assent of the
General Assembly of Maryland to a bequest contained
in the last will and testament of Michael Williams,
late of Baltimore city, deceased, to the Metropolitan
Methodist Episcopal Church of Baltimore city.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary.
