Mr. Thompson submitted the following proposed
amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Strike out all after the word "that," in line 1, sec-
tion 1, down to and inclusive of the word "reside," in
line 6 of said section.
Which was rejected.
Mr. Laird submitted the following proposed amend-
ment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
In section 1, strike out the words "except those
secured by mortgage upon property wholly located
within this State."
MT. Laird demanded the yeas and nays.
The demand was sustained.
