Mr. Berret, from the Committee on Ways and Means,
reported favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money for the support of the Children's Country
Home of Baltimore county.
Also, reported favorably, from same Committee.
Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to the Maryland Society of the Sons of the
American Revolution to aid in the erection of a monu-
ment in the city of Baltimore to the memory of the
Maryland Patriots of the Revolutionary War.
Also, reported favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to pay B. J. Sedwick and
W. C. Warner wages due them as employees in Ware-
house No. 2, during the year 1890.
Also, favorably.
Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate certain
sums of money to pay the claims of the Marr Con-
struction Company of Baltimore city and the Shultz
Gas Fixture and Art Metal Company of Baltimore
city.
Which were severally read a second time.
Also, favorably, with proposed amendment:
Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to assist in defraying the expenses incurred in
erecting a monument on the battle ground of Antie-
tam, in this State, to the soldiers of the Fifth Regi-
ment, Maryland Volunteers, who fell in that battle
and to mark the site where the regiment fought.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 2, second line, after the word "Treasurer,"
insert the words "Isaac D. Davis, of Elkton, of the
Monument Committee."
Which was adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was then read a second time.
