732 JOURNAL. OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 9,
arrest, said judges may designate some person as
special officer for that purpose, and each of said
judges shall be conservators of the peace at the
respective primary election polls, precinct meeting
places or other meeting places at which they may act
as such judges, and may in the manner herein pro-
vided, cause the arrest of any person disturbing the
peace.
Which were severally read, and adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was then read a second time.
Mr. Smith, of Dorchester, from a Select Committee,
reported favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re enact
with amendments sections 104 and 105, of Article 10,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Dorchester
County," sub title "County Commissioners," and to
add two additional sections to follow said section 105,
to be numbered "105 A" and "105 B," relating to the
number, term, election and compensation of County
Commissioners of said county.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Sellman, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,
House bill entitled an. Act authorizing the County
Commissioners of Carroll county to refund to the
Westminster Water Company taxes improperly paid
toy said company.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Hutchins, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to establish a free bridge
over the Patuxent river at or near the present site of
Hill's Bridge, and to provide for free travel from Anne
Arundel to Prince George's county.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Brashears, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to prohibit riding and
driving in an immoderate speed or gait over the pub-
lic bridges in Anne Arundel county.
Which was read a first time.
