Mr. Schlaffer, from a Select Committee, reported
back to the House
House bill entitled an Act to give the sanction and
assent of the General Assembly of Maryland to the
grant made by Patrick Kelly and wife to the Parson-
age, Trustees of Parkton Circuit Baltimore Annual
Conference of Baltimore county and State of Mary-
land.
With recommendation that said bill be referred to
the Committee on the Judiciary.
Bill so referred.
Also, reported from a Select Committee, with pro-
posed amendments,
Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the Code of
Public Local Laws, Article 3, title "Baltimore
County," adding thereto the following sections under
title "Primary Elections."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Amend section 3 of the bill, by striking out from
the "15th line," all words after the word "open," and
adding thereto after said word the following words :
"For such time as may be prescribed by the State
Central Committee or the County Executive Commit-
tee ordering said primary election, precinct meeting
or other meeting."
2nd. Strike out section 10, and insert the following
in lieu thereof, to be known as section 10:
And be it enacted, That before any persons shall
act as judges of any such primary election precinct,
meeting or other meeting mentioned in this Act, they
shall make oath that they will discharge their duties
as such judges, honestly and fairly, which oath shall
be taken by said judges before some Justice of the
Peace for said county, which judges after qualifying
as aforesaid, shall have power to administer said oath
to the clerks of the election.
3rd. Strike out section 11, and insert the following
in lieu thereof, to be known as section 11 :
And be it enacted, That each of said judges ap-
pointed under this Act shall have power to cause the
arrest of any one violating any of the provisions
hereof, or suspected of violating the same, and in the
absence of any person authorized by law to make
